Day Highlights Overnight
Day 1 Arrive in Chennai – Arrive at Chennai Airport and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing or exploring the city’s colonial architecture, Marina Beach, and vibrant local markets.
Day 2 Chennai to Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram – Travel to Kanchipuram, the city of a thousand temples, famous for its silk sarees and magnificent temples. Continue to Mahabalipuram, known for its rock-cut temples and Shore Temple.
Day 3 Mahabalipuram Exploration – Visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites including Arjuna’s Penance, Pancha Rathas, and the iconic Shore Temple. Enjoy the beach and the local artisan markets.
Day 4 Mahabalipuram to Kumbakonam – Tanjore – Drive towards Tanjore via Kumbakonam, visiting ancient temples and cultural landmarks along the way.
Day 5 Tanjore Sightseeing – Explore Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Tanjore Palace, and the famous art and craft markets.
Day 6 Tanjore to Tiruchirapalli (Trichy) – Travel to Trichy and visit the Rockfort Temple, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, and explore the town’s rich cultural heritage.
Day 7 Trichy to Rameswaram – Drive to Rameswaram, a sacred pilgrimage site. En route, explore the Pamban Bridge and panoramic coastal views.
Day 8 Dhanushkodi Excursion – Visit Dhanushkodi, a ghost town at the southeastern tip of India, and enjoy the pristine beaches and scenic landscapes. Return to Rameswaram for overnight stay.
Day 9 Rameswaram to Madurai – Travel to Madurai, home to the iconic Meenakshi Amman Temple. Explore the temple complex and experience the vibrant city life.
Day 10 Return to Chennai and Depart – Fly or drive back to Chennai for your onward journey home. –
